Not long before the collapse Gunnar’s partner and mentor got killed due to a leak within their department. Gunnar tried to investigate, even went rogue, but failed. Ultimately, he was charged with several crimes, lost his job and struggled with alcohol addiction.
Several months later Gunnar recognized that the system he was once working for was about to collapse. There was no reason to fight it anymore, the corrupt and parasitic construct began to wolf itself down. The consequences were shifted once more from the elites to the people. This was the straw that broke the camel’s back. People started to awake and it was the beginning of dusk.
